I-4 / US 192 Construction

I-4 / US 192 Interchange Improvements to Begin in Mid January

The new interchange will improve traffic flow between I-4 and US 192 and includes enhanced ramp designs, better drainage, and provides a wider space for future I-4 lanes. The project is expected to be completed in 2007 at a cost of $58.9 million.

There will be several ramp detours during the various stages of construction that may be used one at a time, or in tandem. Florida department of Transportation will work to minimize the impact to the area and there are no planned detours or closures of I-4 or US 192, except for intermittent nighttime construction activities. The first of these detours is the ramp from westbound US 192 to westbound I-4 .
