St. Lucia Festival

An annaul celebration of Seminole County's Swedish Heritage(in Sanford). You are invited to experience a little history mixed with a unique Christmastime event. The St. Lucia Festival will take place on Saturday, December 10th from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Museum of Seminole County History. The festivities include Smorgasbord sampling, Lucia performers, music, Swedish display, history display, Kubb, Giant Dala, replica Viking ship and Lake Mary Elementary School will perform traditional Holiday songs along with Swedish Christmas songs. Charlie Carlson will be our guest speaker. He is a folk historian, Swedish descendent, author.

Grinchmas

Grinchmas at Universal's Islands of Adventure, December 9th, 2005 through January 1st, 2006.
Seuss Landing transforms into the storybook town of Whoville for the annual Grinchmas celebration. With characters, props and sets straight out of Seuss' beloved children's books, Grinchmas features a live retelling of Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas, performed throughout the day. The green one himself gets up close and personal with guests, as the Grinch greets his fans along with Max and other citizens of Whoville.

Through December 25th. Festive happenings include a special yuletide Shamu night show, a delightful Christmas fountain show, and holiday shopping and dining in addition to all of the exciting SeaWorld attractions.

The Dickens Carolers

Every night at Disney's Marketplace on Buena Vista Blvd., with sets at 7:00pm, 8:00pm and 9:00pm through Christmas Eve. These 30-minute shows are FREE to the public and are performed near the Tinker Toy sculpture at the north end of Downtown Disney's Marketplace.

Photos with Santa Claus

At mall of Millenia during mall hours -- Photos with the Millenia Santa. The Millenia Santa will be available for visits beginning November 18th at 7:30pm and will close shop at noon on December 24th to prepare for his magical farewell.

Macy Parade

Each evening at Universal Studios Florida, the Macy's Holiday Parade will fill the streets with authentic balloons direct from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as all of the floats, performers, costumes, and marching bands that make up the Macy's tradition. Balloonopolis also returns this year, with free-standing displays of some of Macy's mega-balloons, bringing guests face to face with some of the stars of the Thanksgiving Day Parade. 2005 Dec: 9-31,2006 Jan: 1

Universal Studios also adds four holiday-themed shows during celebration, with new performances from The Blues Brothers, Barney, the KidZone characters, and Universal's Shooting Stars! fireworks display nightly from the Studio lagoon.
